This configuration builds an image for the Compute Module 5 IO Board.
Note: Unlike the Raspberry Pi 5 and its dedicated debug uart connector,
the kernel console on Compute Module 5 IO Board is back to UART0
(ttyAMA0) on PIN8 (GPIO14, TX, yellow) and PIN10 (GPIO15, RX, orange) on
the 40-pin header, as the former version of the Raspberry Pi.

This configuration builds an image for the Raspberry Pi 2 Rev 1.2
(64-bit).
Note: Raspberry Pi 2 Model B Rev 1.2[1] switched from BCM2836[2] to
BCM2837[3] that is 64-bit.
BCM2836[2]
The Broadcom chip used in the Raspberry Pi 2 Model B. The
underlying architecture in BCM2836 is identical to BCM2835. The
only significant difference is the removal of the ARM1176JZF-S
processor and replacement with a quad-core Cortex-A7 cluster.
BCM2837[3]
This is the Broadcom chip used in the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B,
later models of the Raspberry Pi 2 Model B, and the Raspberry Pi
Compute Module 3. The underlying architecture of the BCM2837 is
identical to the BCM2836. The only significant difference is the
replacement of the ARMv7 quad core cluster with a quad-core ARM
Cortex A53 (ARMv8) cluster.
The ARM cores run at 1.2GHz, making the device about 50% faster
than the Raspberry Pi 2. The VideoCore IV runs at 400MHz.

The VideoCore blobs for the Raspberry Pi 1, 2, 3, Zero, Zero W and Zero
2 W are differents from the ones for the Raspberry Pi 4 and the Compute
Module 4.
The VideoCore blobs for the Raspberry Pi 4 are named with a 4[1] (i.e.
start4.elf, start4x.elf, start4db.elf and start4cd.elf).
This precises which VideoCore firmware blob files are present on the
Raspberry Pi 1, 2, 3, Zero W, Zero 2 W and which files are present on
the the Rapsberry Pi 4 and the Compute Module 4.
Note: The VideoCore blobs for the Raspberry Pi 5 are self-contained in
its bootloader EEPROM[1][2]; there is no additional files for pi5.

Any Raspberry Pi may use device-tree overlays; it is not restricted to
Raspberry Pi 3 and 4.
The defconfigs for the Raspberry Pi 3, 4, 400, Zero W, Zero 2 W, Compute
Module 4 and 4s use the miniuart-bt dtoverlay to switch the Bluetooth to
the mini-UART (ttyS0) and restore UART0 (ttyAMA0) over GPIOs 14 and 15
to enable the serial console (like the Raspberry Pi 1 and 2 that have no
Bluetooth)[1][2].
As a consequence, the Raspberry Pi Zero W, Zero 2 W, 400, Compute Module
4 and 4s install the device-tree overlays as well.
This rewords the note by adding the three missing hardwares installing
the images/rpi-firmware/overlays directory. It rewords the miniuart note
at the same time.

There are two kind of device-tree blobs up to the Rasperry Pi 3[1][2]:
- the downstream dtbs are named after the die name (i.e. BCM27xx)
- the upstream dtbs are name after the package name (i.e. BCM283x)
Every defconfigs install exclusively the downstream device-tree blob, at
the exception of the raspberrypi3_64_defconfig that installs both since
the begining.
This removes the upstream device-tree blob for the beauty of
consistency.
Note: It is possible to load the upstream device-tree using the
upstream_kernel property[3].
Raspberry Pi, Compute Module, Raspberry Pi Zero and Raspberry Pi Zero W
use bcm2835 for upstream and bcm2708 for downstream.
Raspberry Pi 2 uses bcm2836 for upstream and bcm2709 for downstream.
Raspberry Pi 2 rev 1.2, Raspberry Pi 3, Compute Module 3/3+ and
Raspberry Zero 2 W use bcm2837 for upstream and bcm2709 for downstream.
Raspberry Pi 4/400 and Compute Module 4/4s uses bcm2711 and Raspberry Pi
5 uses bcm2712.

This reverts commit 6021f3678b.
That change is no more relevant since the genimage.cfg files are
generated by the commit e37ee5acdc (board/raspberrypi/post-image.sh:
generate genimage config from template if not present), and since the
variant-specific files were dropped off by the commit fc5cdeed72
(board/raspberrypi: drop variant-specific genimage files).
This removes the very last alive piece of change of the commit
6021f3678b (board/raspberrypi: handle dtb overlays for all variants);
the commit is fully reverted now.

The rpi genimage configurations are all identical, except for the boot
partition files, which include:
- Device tree files (*.dtb)
- rpi-firmware files (rpi-firmware/*)
- Kernel image (Image/zImage)
All of these are quite simple to figure out programmatically based on the
content of BINARIES_DIR, so extend post-image.sh to fall back to generating
a genimage configuration based on genimage.cfg.in if a board specific one
does not exist.

Most rpi defconfigs use dtb overlays, but not rpi0 / rpi2 - Making it harder
to use overlays on those boards as the genimage files have to be tweaked.
To fix this, create the rpi-firmware/overlays directory in the post-build
script if needed and unconditionally include it in the genimage files so
rpi0/rpi2 works consistently with the other variants.

Currently, the cmdline.txt file is installed in $(BINARIES_DIR) by the
rpi-firmware package. Overriding files in there can not be done with an
overlay (which only applies to $(TARGET_DIR)), and thus requires using
either a post-build or post-image script, which is not always very
practical when a custom file must be used.
Like was done in 689b9ac439 (package/rpi-firmware: rework boot/config
file handling) for config.txt, add an option to allow users to specify
the path to a custom cmdline.txt.

The CM4 IO Board is equipped with an on-board RTC connected over I2C,
and has USB 2.0 host ports.
This commit loads the appropriate overlays to enable both. The USB 2.0
interface is by default disabled on CM4 to reduce the power
consumption so it needs to be explicitly enabled on the CM4 IO Board
to use the USB ports.

The Raspberry-Pi Zero 2 W is an affordable single board computer. It is
a more powerful drop-in replacement for the Raspberry Pi Zero W.
The board incorporates an Raspberry-Pi RP3A0 system-in-package (SiP) with
a Broadcom BCM2710A1 and 512MB LPDDR2 SDRAM. The CPU is a quad-core 1Ghz
64-bit Arm Cortex-A53. As for other Raspberry-Pis it also provides
2.4GHz 802.11 b/g/n Wifi, Bluetooth 4.2 and BLE.
The BCM2710 cpu is similar to the Raspberry-Pi 3, it uses the same
kernel configuration as the Raspberry-Pi 2 and 3.
